The Larnaca Cinema Society and the Office of the European Parliament in Cyprus, present the films that are competing for this year's LUX Audience Award.

Synopsis: On his deathbed, His Royal Highness Alfredo (a king without a crown) is transported to distant youthful memories and the time when he dreamed of becoming a fireman. The meeting with instructor Afonso from the fire department opens a new chapter in the life of the two young people immersed in love and the desire and will to change the status quo.

The LUX Audience Award is awarded every year by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy, in collaboration with the European Commission and Europa Cinemas. The award honors European Cinema and aims to raise awareness of social, political and cultural issues in Europe.
