Saint Omer

"Seductive. A compelling chamber drama about the isolation and grief of motherhood, and racial discrimination. It reminds me of Toni Morrison's writing." The Hollywood Reporter

Saint Omer received 17 awards including the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival and the Best Feature at Chicago International Film Festival.

Synopsis: The film follows the story of Rama, a novelist who attends the trial of Laurence Coly at the Saint-Omer Criminal Court to use her story to write a modern-day adaptation of the ancient myth of Medea, but things don't go as expected.
