Synopsis:

The future of the last remaining pub in this village in northeastern England is uncertain as people are leaving the area due to mine closures.

The owner of 'The Old Oak' the last remaining pub at the village who is struggling to keep it alive, forms an unexpected friendship with a young refugee from Syria.
