The Larnaca Cinema Society presents 'Nomadland', a film by Chloé Zhao, starring 4 time oscar winner Frances McDormand. Nomadland dominated the 93rd Academy Awards where it won 3 OSCAR awards: Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress. The film has won more than 250 awards, including: 2 Golden Globes (Best Director and Best Film), the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Toronto Film Festival.

Synopsis: After the financial collapse of a company in a rural Nevada town, Fern (Frances McDormand) packs up her van and embarks on a road trip where she explores a life outside of conventional society as a modern day nomad.

The third feature film from director Chloé Zhao, Nomad Country features real-life nomads Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells as Fern's mentors and companions in exploring the vast landscape of the American West.

The film will be followed by a 15-minute discussion.
