Experimental documentary

Perhaps, one of the most representative combinations of audio-visual and emotional narratives is the documentary. Among the roughest forms of cinema, documentaries are considered a powerful medium for projecting an anecdotal side of reality, a window into a -so far- unseen world.

Among the many genres, the experimental documentary has a special interest because it is considered the completely personal cinema aimed at the individual expression and personal journey of the director, rather than commercial success.

Breaking the "rules" of conventional cinema, he seeks a different cinematic language and other perspectives, expanding the viewer's aesthetic experience.

In this lecture, we will talk about the experimental documentary by looking at examples from contemporary world and domestic cinema.
