Action and Interaction: The History of combining Live Action with Animation in cinema

The presentation traces the history of the combination of live-action and animated film from the earliest periods of cinema to its most recent versions.

Through this historical review, stable themes emerge which can be found in the majority of cases where these two cinematographic media were combined.

These themes are also found in other cases of artistic creation (literature, theater, painting, etc.) and will be analyzed in relation to their cinematic version.

Presentation: Charalambos Margaritis

With the support of the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
